Digital Pedagogy Communities & Professional Organizations
Founded in 2002, HASTAC is a distributed network of interdisciplinary humanists, artists, social scientists, scientists, and technologists who are active in education, activism, and politics. There are over 13,000 members from over 400 affiliate organizations. They have an annual conference and a wide online presence that encourages student participation through their HASTAC Scholars Program. For more information about HASTAC, ask Anne Cong-Huyen, who is a steering committee member and former HASTAC Scholar.
Hybrid Pedagogy is an organization of dedicated digital pedagogues who offer a digital journal on critical digital pedagogy, a social network community using the #digped hashtag, and workshops and seminars about online learning, flipped classrooms, hybrid classes, teaching with social media, and more.
